Dear All,

Even though it is starting to feel like the end of the year there is a still a lot happening at the Club.

Our major social event for November was a performance of Darling, Darling just for the club. Many thanks to Eileen Mahony for an original and thought-provoking talk on the journeys through life. It was very much appreciated by all who came along and we hope to see another piece from Eileen next year.

Our Santa Tournament will be held on Saturday 6th December . This will be followed by the singing of carols in the clubhouse. Further details will be provided nearer the time.

Additions to the Coaching Team:

In the New Year Jake Waters will officially join the Old College Coaching Team and may be around at certain times before then. Jake is an an experienced performance coach, who has gained years of experience at the coveted Bromley Tennis Centre, and is nearing completion of his LTA Level 4. In addition, we are at advance discussions with an additional coach who has good local experience of tennis clubs and sports clubs. There will be more news about our new coaches soon. In the meantime, please welcome Jake.

Off Peak Membership Playing Times Trial Extension:

We have experienced some technical glitches preventing off peak members from booking Friday and Saturday evenings. These have hopefully now been fixed so please make the most of this trial extension of off peak booking hours. Please note that bookings for Mixed Teams Matches, the Ladies’s and Men’s Social will continue to have precedence.

If you do have any further MyCourt booking problems please let Emily Chandler know.

Clubhouse Regeneration Project Update:

Thank you to members who have expressed interest in tendering for this project. These are currently being reviewed by our architects, BSA, and the Project Steering Group.

At the same time, we are currently refining our tender documents which should give us more realistic cost and funding estimates in early 2026.

Request for your views:

In the next few days, look out for a survey requesting details of your experience of tennis at the Club. It will be anonymous and there will be prizes! We are starting to think about our 2026 tennis offering so please send your replies as soon as possible.
