Tournament dates: 13th–27th June

Possible qualifying rounds: Week commencing 8th June (likely Men’s Singles only)

Finals Day: Saturday 27th June

Finals Day will include all adult, junior and mini finals, plus a BBQ and evening party. Put the date in your diary.

Tournament Format

The Tournament Director is our Head Coach, Alex Heath.

Adult Events

Matches will take place mainly in the evenings and at weekends. All scheduling will be handled by Alex using the LTA Tournament Planner.

You do NOT need to:

  • arrange matches
  • contact opponents
  • book courts

You simply turn up and play when scheduled.

The daily order of play and results will be emailed each evening and uploaded to the LTA tournament website. Results will count towards your World Tennis Number.

Players should bring their own balls for matches (except Finals Day). Balls will be available to buy behind the bar.

Availability

Please only enter if you are available for most of the two-week tournament period.

We understand people may have work, family or travel commitments, and we will try to accommodate up to 2–3 unavailable dates if notified in advance.

However, if you are unavailable for large parts of the tournament, especially in doubles events, it becomes very difficult to schedule and you may need to withdraw or forfeit matches.

The Tournament Director’s decision on scheduling will be final.

Junior & Mini Events

U11–U18 matches will take place during the normal after-school club period (4pm–6.30pm)

Mini tennis events (Red/Orange/Green) will all take place on the morning of Finals Day (27th June)

FAQs

  • Who can enter?
Any active member regardless of level or membership type.
  • I can’t get to the club until 7.30pm. Can I still enter?
Yes. Please enter and let Alex know — we’ll try to schedule your matches later in the evening.
  • I have family commitments on certain days. Is that ok?
Yes. A few unavailable dates are absolutely fine if we know in advance.
  • I’m away for the whole first week. Can I still enter?
Probably not. If you are unavailable for more than 3 days, scheduling becomes too difficult, particularly for doubles events.
  • I’m away on Finals Day. Should I still enter?
Yes. We still want people to take part — but if you reach the semi-finals you would need to concede your match before the final.
  • What if there’s an emergency and I can’t make a match?
We understand emergencies happen. We’ll try to reschedule once, but the rearranged date must then be honoured.
  • What if I get injured and have to withdraw?
The player or pair you beat in the previous round will take your place. In doubles, a substitute player may be allowed if you have not yet played a match.
  • Do I need to contact opponents or arrange courts?
    No. Everything is centrally scheduled.
  • Will courts still be available during the tournament?
    Yes, but with restrictions:
    i) Some daytime court availability throughout the Championships
ii) Normal weekday club sessions will continue as usual
iii) Evening social play and evening coaching will pause during the tournament
iv) Limited weekend coaching and social tennis on tournament weekends
    v) No weekend coaching or social tennis on Finals weekend

Please keep an eye on the booking system for updates and court availability

We’re looking forward to another great Championships and hope to see as many members involved as possible.

Good luck!
